indeland: Denkmalroute (Radroute 3)
The indeland cycle routes mainly run on car-free paths, cycle paths along roads and in some cases on low-traffic side roads with predominantly flat gradients. The route leads past the two-part moated castle complex of Engelsdorf Castle to the Aldenhoven Mining Museum, where you can experience an important part of indeland's history. A total of six exhibitions on various mining-related topics are presented on three levels covering around 700 m² in a former monastery chapel. Another highlight on the monument route is the Deutschordenskommende Siersdorf with its centerpiece, the brick manor house, a single-winged complex measuring over 1,000 m² with four square corner towers.
