The two bathing lakes in Echtz and Gürzenich are the highlights of this guided cycle tour, which takes you along the green Rur on the signposted "Dürener Seenrunde" circular tour through various districts of Düren. Along the way, you will pass through the Merkener Busch nature reserve, stop at the viewpoint of the Inden open-cast mine and discover the more rural corners of the city. You will learn interesting facts about the development of the lakes, current and former opencast lignite mines and the importance of paper production for Düren.
