Guided hike "Panorama of the Zülpicher Börde"
The Zülpicher Börde is characterized by a landscape of gentle hills. The term Börde comes from the Low German word börden and means something like productive. Even the Celts and Romans recognized the ideal conditions for agriculture in this region. The fertile loess soil also guarantees numerous colorful flowers by the wayside. The Bürvenich Tree Calendar impressively illustrates village events dating back to 1884. Afterwards, you will hike along narrow paths around the Tötschberg. From the summit cross there, you will have fantastic views over the Börde once again. On the way back, we will pass the Michaelskapelle and learn how the locals got rid of the devil once and for all.
