Guided Hike "Eifel Panorama, Nature and Art"
Experience the Eifel from its most beautiful side – on a varied hike along picturesque fields, mysterious forests, and over the panoramic heights of the Eifel.
The starting point of the hike is the picturesque town of Heimbach, whose half-timbered houses, together with Hengebach Castle, exude a unique charm. We initially ascend steeply along a narrow path. Already, we have our first views of one of the oldest castles in the Eifel. Our path winds above the Rur Valley through an old oak forest. Stunning distant views over the gentle hills of the Eifel are not long in coming. In spring, the rapeseed transforms the landscape into a sea of yellow flowers. After a while, the path leads us back into the forest. On the Wood Art Route, we can admire numerous works of art. It’s a varied hike with dreamy panoramic views over the open landscape and the Rur Valley.
A special highlight: the viewpoint Luna, from which you can enjoy the view of the landscape around Heimbach one last time at the end of the hike.
The tour is ideal for nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts, and anyone looking to rediscover the Eifel!
