Guided hike “Through the Weidenbach Valley”
Experience an unforgettable hike through a fascinating landscape on the edge of the Eifel National Park. Right at the beginning, a breathtaking view opens up before us over the impressive Rursee, nestled among the gentle hills of the Eifel. Take some time to enjoy this panorama in peace – it is the perfect start for our varied tour.
We initially follow the high paths, which give us wide views over forests, meadows, and valleys. Soon the path becomes narrower, leading us down into the valley along natural trails. We let the charm of this natural paradise work on us. At the idyllic Weidenbach, the hike turns into a small adventure. The stream meanders picture-perfectly through forests and open meadows – a place that seems to have sprung from a storybook. Crossing the Weidenbach promises adventure and nature experience in equal measure – waterproof hiking shoes are a trusty companion here.
Another highlight awaits us at the Heinrich-Geis-Stollen. This inconspicuous structure bears witness to the engineering skills of past times and invites us to take a look into the history of the region. Over varied forest paths, we finally ascend again to Steckenborn. Upon reaching the top, a grand finale rewards us: a picturesque view of the Dreiborner Plateau up to the Ordensburg Vogelsang – a view that makes the hike unforgettable.
