The hike "Buildings and natural beauty around Langerwehe" combines nature experiences and regional history in indeland over a distance of around 10 km. Led by Richard Simons, the tour leads through the varied lower Wehebachtal valley from Langerwehe to Wenau, characterized by meadows, forests and historical sites.

Distinctive buildings and cultural-historical sights are explained along the route - including churches, monasteries, mills, the Zehnthof farm, the castle and the pottery museum. This provides a lively insight into the history of the region and its villages of Langerwehe, Schönthal, Wenau and Heistern.

A particular highlight is the ascent to Heisterner Höhe, from where you can enjoy a sweeping view towards Eschweiler. In Heistern, the "Pfanntissimo" restaurant offers an opportunity for a leisurely stop.

The way back leads across open fields with impressive views as far as Jülich and rounds off this varied tour of nature, culture and far-reaching views.
