KOMM (derived from the word "communication") is a place for art, culture, music and encounters in Düren. The socio-cultural center is located in the old Pleußmühle, which can be recognized by its striking brick façade and the large water wheel at August-Klotzstr. 21 (just a 5-minute walk from the city center). Located directly on the Mühlenbach stream, the water wheel produces green electricity for Stadtwerke Düren, while KOMM "produces" culture.
With over 100 public events a year, as well as workshops, courses and the cozy pub, we reach numerous visitors from near and far. Perhaps you fancy a concert, dancing the tango or a fun evening of cabaret and comedy? Then it's worth taking a look at the KOMM homepage, because we offer a wide variety of events at least three times a week. Children's theater, readings or a quiz evening are just as much a part of it as making music together at our pub session.

If you would like to enjoy a Kölsch (or something else) in a cozy atmosphere, we open our pub on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and before or during our events. The cozy garden terrace right by the stream also invites you to linger. If you get hungry, you are welcome to order something, we will provide you with cutlery and a plate, as we only serve small snacks.

A special highlight and unique selling point in the city center is our large event garden behind the building. Numerous open-air concerts and comedy evenings take place here from June to September. Under the motto "COME to the garden", we invite you to marvel at top-class artists from all over the world in the beautifully illuminated garden or to celebrate local bands and groups (often with free admission).
During the rest of the year, our event hall in the basement (with up to 120 seats) is not only a place of culture, but also a party location, e.g. for our monthly "Dance Trip" (genre: alternative rock music) or salsa nights. And our gallery regularly shows changing exhibitions and is a venue for receptions or tango dancing.
As you can see, KOMM has something to offer for every taste and welcomes you to your second living room!
