The wooded surroundings of the national park are a great place to wait for a big catch. But it usually doesn't take long for zander, pike, char or brown trout to bite. The excellent quality of the Rureifel waters is reflected in the abundance of fish. So if you fancy casting your line in the Rursee, you should familiarize yourself with the local fishing regulations and purchase a fishing permit. This requires a state fishing license. Numerous boat rentals also make fishing from the lake possible.
